DENTIST IN WILANÓW, WARSAW
Worn teeth
Teeth wear down with age, but much faster with clenching and grinding (bruxism), acid erosion (from reflux, acidic drinks or diet) or a poorly aligned bite. Worn teeth become shorter, sensitive and more prone to chipping, and the face can look older as the bite collapses.
Restoring worn teeth with the EFP protocol
When many teeth are worn, repairing them one by one does not work well – the bite needs to be planned as a whole. The EFP protocol is a method of rebuilding worn teeth in a predictable way, restoring their shape, function and the correct height of the bite, mostly with minimally invasive composite and ceramic restorations (onlays, overlays, occlusal veneers).
Dr Joanna Chodorowska was the first in Poland to carry out treatment according to the EFP protocol. Treatment starts with a consultation (500 PLN), during which we assess the teeth, bite, muscles and joints and give you an indicative plan and cost. Depending on the case, the plan may also include orthodontic treatment (such as Invisalign Go) or, if teeth are missing, implant treatment. Rebuilding a worn tooth with direct bonding costs from 1500 PLN per tooth. It is usually preceded by a splint stage – about 3 months on average, with check-ups after the first week and then every 2–3 weeks – and the restoration itself usually takes two long, full-day visits.
Tooth colour is part of the plan too. If you would like lighter teeth, we discuss whitening or veneers at the consultation, so that the rebuilt teeth match the rest of your smile.

COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT
A single treatment is often part of a larger treatment plan. If several teeth are affected, it is best to start with a comprehensive consultation – the result is a plan with stages and costs. Prices for selected treatments are in our price list.
