Veneers
Veneers are thin shells bonded to the front surface of teeth. They change the shape, length or shade of teeth and can close small gaps or mask chips and discolouration that whitening cannot remove.
Depending on the case, veneers can be made of composite (built up directly on the tooth) or ceramic (made in a laboratory). Before deciding on veneers, we check the health of your teeth and gums and your bite – a stable bite is essential for veneers to last.
- Composite veneers – usually require little or no drilling and can be repaired if chipped.
- Ceramic veneers – very stable in colour and resistant to staining.
For some patients whitening, composite bonding or Invisalign Go alignment gives a good result with less intervention – we will discuss all options with you.
