DENTIST IN WILANÓW, WARSAW
TMJ disorders
The temporomandibular joints (TMJ) connect the lower jaw to the skull and work every time you open your mouth, bite or speak. When something disrupts how they work – clenching and grinding, worn teeth and a collapsed bite, stress or injury – symptoms appear that are often not linked to the teeth at first.
Symptoms worth checking
- clicking, popping or grating when opening the mouth,
- pain around the ear, temple or jaw,
- difficulty opening wide or a feeling that the jaw “locks”,
- morning headaches and tired facial muscles,
- worn, chipped or sensitive teeth.
How we help at Bianco
At the consultation Dr Joanna Chodorowska examines the joints, muscles and bite and checks whether your symptoms are linked to the condition of your teeth. Depending on the cause, treatment may include a relaxation splint, physiotherapy with a physiotherapist we work with, and – for worn teeth – restoration using the EFP protocol to restore the correct bite height. If further imaging such as CBCT or MRI is needed, we will refer you.

COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT
A single treatment is often part of a larger treatment plan. If several teeth are affected, it is best to start with a comprehensive consultation – the result is a plan with stages and costs. Prices for selected treatments are in our price list.
