Sinus lift
A sinus lift (maxillary sinus floor augmentation) creates room for an implant in the back of the upper jaw. After teeth are lost, the bone there gradually shrinks and the sinus extends lower – so there may not be enough bone height for an implant.

What does it involve?
The surgeon gently lifts the membrane lining the floor of the sinus and fills the space with bone substitute material. Once healed, this becomes bone in which an implant can be placed. Sometimes the implant is placed during the same procedure, sometimes a few months later.
How to prepare
A CBCT scan is essential – it shows how much bone is available and what the sinus looks like. Based on it, we decide whether the procedure is needed and which approach to use. The price is set after the consultation.
