DENTIST IN WILANÓW, WARSAW
Tooth extraction
We remove a tooth when it can no longer be saved – it is destroyed by decay or injury, cracked along the root, has inflammation that cannot be treated with root canal treatment, or gets in the way of planned treatment. Before deciding, we always check whether conservative or root canal treatment is still possible.
Who provides treatment? The consultation, treatment plan and prosthetic restoration are provided by Dr Joanna Chodorowska. Surgical procedures are performed by an oral surgeon. Call us – reception will arrange an appointment and explain the next steps: +48 735 967 875.
What it involves
- Consultation and X-ray – we assess the tooth and the surrounding bone. In more difficult cases we refer you for a CBCT scan and view the results online.
- A plan for afterwards – before the extraction we discuss whether and how to replace the tooth: with an implant, a bridge or another solution.
- Procedure under local anaesthesia – you feel pressure, but not pain.
- Aftercare instructions – you receive advice on how to look after the area for the first few days.
After the extraction
For the first few hours do not eat or rinse vigorously, so as not to disturb the blood clot. For a few days avoid hot drinks, smoking and strenuous exercise. Mild swelling and tenderness are normal; if pain increases after 2–3 days, call us.
COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT
A single treatment is often part of a larger treatment plan. If several teeth are affected, it is best to start with a comprehensive consultation – the result is a plan with stages and costs. Prices for selected treatments are in our price list.
