COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT

Comprehensive dental treatment – planned from start to finish

One dentist leads the whole process: from consultation and diagnostics, through a written plan with stages and costs, to check-ups after treatment.

Dr Joanna Chodorowska – lead dentist at Bianco Dental Clinic

WHO IT IS FOR

When you need a plan, not a single treatment

Comprehensive treatment means restoring the whole mouth according to one well-thought-out plan. Our patients most often:

  • have worn, shortened teeth – after years of clenching and grinding, or from acid erosion (worn teeth, bruxism),
  • have lost several teeth and want to replace them permanently,
  • have old crowns, bridges or large fillings that are discoloured, no longer fit the gum or are cracking,
  • suffer from jaw pain, muscle tension, clicking joints or headaches related to their bite,
  • have been putting off treatment for years and want to do it once, and properly.

In these situations, treating single teeth one after another is usually not enough. First we need to understand the cause – only then do we rebuild.

THE PROCESS

How treatment works – step by step

  1. Comprehensive consultation. A conversation about your symptoms and expectations, and an examination of your teeth, gums, bite and jaw joints. More about the consultation.
  2. Diagnostics. Photos, a digital scan, X-rays taken in the clinic and, if needed, a CBCT scan at the Diagdent imaging centre. With bite and jaw joint problems – an assessment of the muscles and posture.
  3. A written treatment plan. The stages, number of visits, estimated time and cost of each stage, and the possible options.
  4. Treatment in stages. Health first: caries, root canal treatment, gums, professional cleaning. Then function: bite, muscles and joints, sometimes with a splint and physiotherapy. Finally restoration: onlays, crowns, veneers, replacing missing teeth. Throughout treatment you always have temporary restorations – made in the clinic or, for larger work, in the laboratory.
  5. Check-ups after treatment. Regular check-ups and professional cleaning so the result lasts as long as possible.

THE TREATMENT PLAN

What the plan includes

  • a description of the current condition of your teeth and the causes of the problem,
  • the stages of treatment in the right order,
  • the number of visits and estimated duration,
  • the cost of each stage,
  • possible options – for example an onlay instead of a crown – with their advantages and limitations,
  • what may happen if treatment is postponed.

The plan is a proposal. The decision whether and when to start is always yours. Treatment can be spread over time – what matters is keeping the stages in the right order.

TIME AND COST

How long it takes and what the cost depends on

The length of treatment depends on its scope. Restoring a few teeth usually takes a few weeks. A full restoration of worn teeth following the EFP protocol, including a stage of muscle relaxation, usually takes several months: the splint stage lasts about 3 months on average, with check-ups after the first week and then every 2–3 weeks, and the restoration itself usually takes two long, full-day visits. The exact schedule is part of the plan.

The cost depends mainly on:

  • the number of teeth to be treated,
  • the type of restorations – composite, ceramic, zirconia, implants,
  • whether root canal treatment, surgery or tooth alignment is needed,
  • the preparatory stage – splint, physiotherapy.

For guidance: an onlay, overlay or occlusal veneer costs 4000 PLN per tooth, a crown on an implant 4500–4800 PLN, and rebuilding a worn tooth with direct bonding from 1500 PLN per tooth. A full restoration of many teeth usually costs from several tens of thousands to over one hundred thousand PLN. The exact amount – broken down by stage – is in the treatment plan. Prices of selected treatments are in our price list.

WHY BIANCO

One dentist leading you through the whole process

At Bianco, treatment is planned and carried out by Dr Joanna Chodorowska. She knows your full dental history and is responsible for the final result – you never have to explain everything from scratch. She specialises in restoring teeth, conservative and root canal treatment, and extensive, multi-stage treatment plans. She was the first in Poland to carry out a comprehensive tooth restoration following the EFP protocol. She was in the first course group of Prof. Camillo D’Arcangelo and co-ran a study club with him for 2–3 years for dentists who had completed EFP courses.

She works together with our dental hygienist Anita Syga, a physiotherapist, an oral surgeon and a dental laboratory.

  • The WAND computer-controlled anaesthesia,
  • treatment under magnification and with an operating microscope,
  • time to talk at every visit,
  • 8 free parking spaces, treatment in English.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to do everything at once?
No. Treatment can be spread over time. In the plan we mark which stages are urgent and which can wait.

Is the plan binding?
No. It is a proposal we discuss together – including the options and their costs.

I have a treatment plan from another clinic. Can you review it?
Yes – book a second opinion.

I am anxious about the dentist. Will treatment hurt?
We treat under local anaesthesia given with a computer-controlled system. Most patients find it gentler than a standard injection.

Will I be without teeth during treatment?
No. You always receive temporary restorations – made in the clinic or, for larger prosthetic work, by a technician in the laboratory. They are charged separately: 250 PLN if made in the clinic, 500–700 PLN if made in the laboratory (for example a temporary veneer or crown).

Can I see the result before I decide?
Yes. For bonding or veneers on the front teeth, Dr Chodorowska can place composite on your teeth during the visit without bonding it and take photos of your face before and after. For prosthetic and EFP treatment, the laboratory prepares a digital design (wax-up), which we then try in your mouth as a mock-up (250 PLN per tooth).

Will there be many visits?
We combine visits. After the consultation we know how many teeth need treatment in each quarter of the mouth – for example, three teeth in one quarter can be treated in a single visit of about 2.5 hours. For the EFP protocol we reserve half a day or a whole day.

Can I come outside regular opening hours?
As an exception, yes – once you have been to a consultation and the treatment plan is agreed. An earlier or longer visit can then be arranged. More on our Comfort and privacy page.

Can I be treated in English?
Yes, Dr Chodorowska treats patients in English.
