DENTIST IN WILANÓW, WARSAW
Professional teeth cleaning in Wilanów, Warsaw
Professional cleaning removes tartar and stains that a toothbrush cannot reach and helps prevent decay and gum disease. At Bianco it is also required before teeth whitening. Cleaning is carried out by our hygienist, Anita Syga, at ul. Adama Branickiego 18 in Wilanów.
Regular check-ups and professional cleaning allow decay and gum inflammation to be found before they hurt and before treatment becomes extensive.
What a full cleaning includes – 450 PLN
- Examination of teeth and gums.
- Scaling – removal of tartar above and just below the gum line with an ultrasonic scaler. Tartar is hardened plaque: it cannot be removed with a toothbrush, and left on the teeth it irritates the gums, causes bleeding and bad breath, and over time can lead to gum recession and periodontal disease.
- Air polishing – a fine stream of powder, water and air removes soft plaque and surface stains from coffee, tea, red wine or smoking, including from areas a toothbrush struggles to reach. It is done after scaling.
- Polishing – teeth feel smoother, and a clean surface makes it easier to keep them free of plaque at home.
- Fluoride application.
- Oral hygiene instruction – choosing a toothbrush, floss or interdental brushes and the right technique. The hygienist shows you, on your own teeth, where plaque builds up and how to remove it effectively.
Price of a full professional cleaning: 450 PLN. Other prices are in our price list.
Who it is for
Professional cleaning is for anyone who wants to keep their teeth and gums healthy – especially if you build up tartar quickly, have bleeding gums or bad breath, stains from coffee, tea or smoking, are planning whitening or are being treated with Invisalign Go aligners.
Who carries out the cleaning
Hygiene visits are carried out by our hygienist, Anita Syga. Treatment at Bianco is led by Dr Joanna Chodorowska.
Cleaning before whitening
Professional cleaning is required before whitening at Bianco – clean teeth whiten evenly. Air polishing removes surface stains but does not change the natural shade of your teeth; for that, see teeth whitening.
How often
Most patients benefit from cleaning every six months. If you build up tartar quickly, have gum problems or wear aligners – more often, as recommended by the hygienist.
